Pretty Little Poem

This is a pretty little poem I wrote:

Powder brushed upon frozen grounds,

White paint splattered on the sky,

Grains of sugar falling from the heavens.

Cold air bites my face stinging my soul,

Rummaging through the blank skies around me,

Searching for my bittersweet Warmth.

Gone astray, and it’s lost in the storm,

Hands groping for the feeling I’ve longed for:

The Warmth that prevails in sleepless nights.

My heart longs for Warmth when all it knows is pain.

You gave it away once more, and I’m left to be consumed,

Plunged into the storms and seas that have taken over.

I lay here forlorn, slowly fading into white.

Waiting for you my dear, my dear Warmth,

And you have yet to come, while the Cold takes over.

What do you think?
